Paul, Colleen, Jackie and Zach recently traveled to the UK
and Ireland for a two week adventure (Zach only joined us for the second week).
The following are some of the
highlights of that adventure.
When
we first arrived, we took about an hour's nap and then met Eric and Jill, Paul's
Uncle's sister and her husband, who live in London. Eric and Jill showed
us how to get around on the London Underground and got us started by showing us
Parliament, the Bell Tower with Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

View of inside "the tube"...the London Underground system. We got very
accustomed to using this, it was great. We figured out that this was
indeed a planes, trains and automobile trip, as well as boats, taxis, busses,
ferries, Ferris wheels, lifts, wheelchairs and legs...missed out on the horses
and carriages...
The
next morning, we hopped on a double-decker tour bus and buzzed around town
looking at all of the sights. In the picture below you will see Colleen
and Jackie taking it all in on the upper deck. No, they are not mad at
each other, they just both wanted a window seat!
The tour bus system is set up so that you can hop off at a
stop, look around, and then hop back on at your leisure. All for one hefty
price...just like everything else in London. But, it really was worth it.
Beautiful City!
