Choose an address where you would like your Web page to
be found on the Internet. This address is called a URL (Uniform Resource Locator).
There are a couple of ways to go here. First, you can get serious and choose a URL
that corresponds to your name or your company's name (like we did at My Web Express when
we chose www.mywebexpress.com). This costs
a little extra (about $70 which covers the first two years), because you have to register
the name with InterNIC, the organization that controls the URL's on the Internet.
If you want to go this way, click here to check the
InterNIC database to see if the name you want is still
available. Be sure to exclude the "www" from the name when you enter it in
the search box. When you are done, use your "Back Button" on your browser
to return to this page.
Once you figure out a unique address, let us know and we
will help you register the name (you retain the controlling rights to the name).
Network Solutions will bill you separately for the registration.
The other way (which is more cost effective) is to choose an address in our domain, such
as www.mywebexpress.com/yourname.
If you clicked on this example, you found out it was not a real link (because we
just made it up for this paragraph) but we will set you up with whatever name you want,
and attach it to our group. It makes your address a little longer, but you save the
cost of registering the name (and you don't have as much competition for the name).
There is no extra charge for this service, as it is included in our hosting fee.
